MOUNT EVEREST AND ITS LOCATION

Image
Where is Mount Everest? Why is this place such a popular destination?  Mount Everest is is the highest mountain peak in the world. This majestic landmark is located in a small country called Nepal. This country is sandwiched between India and China. It is an extremely popular destination for those who love trekking and get excitement out of this sport. There is no disputing that trekking is not without risks.   Its altitude at 29,032 feet, its freezing temperatures, low visibility at certain times of day, create their own challenges. Danger is without a doubt a reality and for those who choose to go trekking , are constantly reminded of the danger.

A SHORT HYGIENE STORY

Image
Tim routinely practices poor hygiene. His bathroom is always in a mess. He seldom takes time to clean the refrigerator and dispose of outdated food. As would be expected, he had salmonella poisoning. Three days after recovering, he made no attempt to clean the bathroom, or throw away the outdated food. He has created a wonderful breathing ground for the germs. This is poor hygiene!

DEHYDRATION AND ITS EFFECT ON THE BODY

Image
In a nutshell, dehydration may affect the body in ways that one cannot imagine.                      A long flight, insufficient fluids and little movement not only lead to dehydration                       but also cause conditions such as DVT ( deep vein thrombosis) which can have                       severe consequences.                     In infants and small children, signs such as sunken fontanels, sunken eyes and                     irritability may be caused by dehydration.                      Electrolyte imbalances also occur within the body, due to dehydration . People                     who go on long walks in a desert climate, may become dehydrated without                     being aware of it. Sweating and fluid loss occurs and is not very obvious. It is                     suggested that sports drinks are taken on such trips as they replace not only fluids,                     but also electrolytes.
